The season opens in January. In 2027 the Gran Marcha parades through Willemstad on Sunday 7 February and the Marcha di Despedida closes carnival on Tuesday 9 February, the eve of Ash Wednesday (10 February 2027). Because the dates move with Easter, carnival falls in early March in some years. FDKK has not yet published the full 2027 programme.
