The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival brings the storied North Sea Jazz brand to the Caribbean for three big nights, running Thursday through Saturday, usually in late August or early September. Despite the "jazz" in the name, the line-up spans jazz, soul, funk, pop, R&B, and Latin music, mixing global superstars with celebrated Caribbean and Latin American acts. Multiple stages run in parallel, so the night becomes a personal route between acts rather than a single bill.
It has grown into one of the largest music events in the southern Caribbean, drawing visitors from across the region and beyond. The timing is comfortable: Curaçao sits south of the hurricane belt, so late summer here means warm, dry, reliable evenings rather than storm season.
Most festival-goers stay near Willemstad or the resort strip around Jan Thiel and travel to the venue each night. Buy a single-day pass for one, two, or all three nights in advance, study the stage clashes ahead of time so you do not miss a must-see act, and arrange transport back, as the festival runs late.
